NADRA B-Form for Children 2026 – Step-by-Step Guide

NADRA B-Form for Children 2026 – Step-by-Step Guide

Rs. 50. That is the entire fee for the most important document your child will need before turning 18. The NADRA B-Form — officially the Child Registration Certificate (CRC) — is the legal proof of your child’s birth and nationality, and without it there is no school admission in many institutions, no passport, and no CNIC at 18.

What the B-Form Is (and Isn’t)

The B-Form is NADRA’s computerized registration of a child under 18. It records the child’s name, date of birth, place of birth, and parentage, linked to the parents’ CNIC records. It is not an identity card and not a birth certificate — it is the bridge document between the Union Council birth certificate and NADRA’s national database. One B-Form per child.

Documents: Get These Ready First

  • Computerized birth certificate of the child from the Union Council, Municipal Committee, or Cantonment Board. A hospital slip alone is not enough.
  • Valid CNIC or NICOP of both parents — originals. If you’re applying online, you’ll upload scans.
  • Parents’ marriage record must already exist in NADRA’s database. If your Nikah was never registered with NADRA, sort that out first.
  • For a child born abroad: the foreign birth certificate or NADRA’s S-1 form instead of the Union Council certificate.

Method 1: Apply from Home via the PakID App

If your child is up to one year old, NADRA lets you do the whole thing from your phone. For older children, you can start the application in the app but may still need an office visit.

  1. Install the Pak-ID app and create an account with the parent’s CNIC, email, and mobile number.
  2. Tap Apply Now, then Issuance of Identity Document, then Child Registration Certificate (CRC).
  3. Enter the child’s details: full name, date of birth, place of birth, and both parents’ CNIC numbers.
  4. Upload scanned copies of the Union Council birth certificate and the parents’ CNICs, plus the child’s photograph where required.
  5. Verify one parent’s fingerprints — the app guides you through this on your phone.
  6. Pay the fee online and submit.

Method 2: Apply at a NADRA Registration Centre

  1. Visit any NADRA Registration Centre with the documents listed above.
  2. Take a token and tell the counter you need a CRC/B-Form for your child.
  3. The officer enters the details and scans your documents.
  4. Biometrics: one parent gives fingerprints. If the child is above 3, the child’s photograph and iris scan are captured; from age 10, the child’s fingerprints too.
  5. Pay the fee at the counter and collect your receipt with the tracking ID.
  6. Track progress by sending the tracking ID to 8400, or collect the printed B-Form when ready.

Does your child need to come along? A child above 3 years must be present because the photo and iris scan start at age 3. Under 3, the child only needs to appear if the B-Form is being made specifically for a passport.

The Fee Table (2026)

Fixing Mistakes in a B-Form

If the date of birth on the B-Form differs from the Union Council birth certificate, you must first get the birth certificate corrected at the Union Council — NADRA treats the Union Council certificate as the source of truth.
